$5K grant + intensive cohort for Black & Latina women founders
BREAKTHROUGH is a city-based cohort program by digitalundivided (in partnership with JPMorgan Chase's Advancing Black Pathways and Surdna Foundation) that provides $5,000 grants plus intensive business development curriculum to Black and Latina women entrepreneurs. The 2026 application pages are for the Northern California and Nashville cohorts; Atlanta, Houston and San Antonio are past cohorts. Each cohort runs ~6 weeks with sessions on customer discovery, startup funding, growth marketing, and banking relationships. 1

3
Application review and interview
Applications are reviewed by digitalundivided staff. Shortlisted founders are invited to a brief interview (timing varies by cohort).

4
Program participation and grant disbursement
Accepted founders join the ~6-week cohort program (dates vary by cohort). The $5,000 grant is disbursed to accepted companies. Sessions cover customer discovery, funding landscape, growth marketing strategies, and banking relationships via JPMorgan Chase.
~40 hrs
The $50K minimum revenue bar rules out pre-revenue startups — this program targets founders who are already generating sales but need capital and strategy to grow. The JPMorgan Chase relationship component is underrated: many alumni open business banking accounts and access Chase Merchant Services through program introductions.
Deadline & timing
Each city runs its own cohort cycle annually. The 2026 cohorts are Northern California and Nashville (Nashville applications closed October 19, 2026); the next city and dates are not announced. Applications via Typeform on the BREAKTHROUGH page.

We don't draft digitalundivided BREAKTHROUGH applications. We do draft these seventeen. Answer a few short questions once and we draft your application from what you tell us: only your facts, with a blank wherever the judges want a detail only you know. You submit it yourself. Six are for women-owned businesses; eleven are open more widely.
You see a free preview first and pay only if you want the full draft: $9 per grant. You can add the other month-end grants you qualify for at $5 each (never more than $15 extra).
